Brief Research Description
I am a public economist focused on the analysis of welfare state institutions.
My primary research centers on policies aimed at enhancing the level of human capital within societies, thereby improving individual well-being and boosting sustainable economic growth.
My research explores the functioning and regulation of key institutions that contribute to human capital development, in particular schools and universities, with the goal of offering policy recommendations to improve their effectiveness and equity. I pay particular attention to inequalities in human capital formation and the role of families in shaping individual outcomes.
As an empirical economist, I work with microdata and employ counterfactual analysis methods (Diff-in-Diff, RDD, IV, PSM) to estimate the causal impact of policies and interventions.
