Brief Research Description

Human anatomy laboratory research is focused on the development of biocompatible materials to create innovative solutions for regenerative medicine. As a matter of fact, the use of advanced biomaterials, such as hydrogels and decellularized materials, ensures the creation of effective and clinically safe scaffolds capable of supporting damaged tissue regeneration. These scaffolds need to be evaluated in term of biocompatibility and morphology to recreate a biological environment mimicking the native one, to restore anatomical integrity. All these features will be evaluated by different experimental approaches, ranging from cell culture to bio-functional evaluations performed with the most updated techniques. In particular the group has a strong expertise in the production of hydrogels and decellularized materials, representing the core of new biomaterials able to undergo pre-clinical evaluation to support a future patenting and technological transfer process, ultimately leading to the industrialization of the experimental results.
